Weissbier Etalon
Brewed by classical Bavarian technology and in strict compliance with the Law On Purity of Beer from 1516, unfiltered weissbier Weissbier Etalon can be rightly called the most recognized wheat beer not only in Ukraine, but also in the Eastern Europe. It is popular also in German, Great Britain and even America, where it is exported from our country. - In April 2004, Ukrainian Weissbier – beer “Weissbier Etalon” received Gold Medal at the world contest World Beer Cup® 2004 in the nomination South German-Style Hefe-Weissbier.
- Beer Weissbier Etalon was named the best in its category also at the Brewing Industry International Awards 2004 on May 25, 2004. During the award ceremony of BIIA in London, Ukrainian Weissbier Etalon was awarded with Gold Medal in wheat beer class.
- Wheat beer (weissbier) is non-transparent beer, which is brewed from special sorts of wheat and hop. The main peculiarity of Weizen is very pleasant sour taste with light hop bitterness and complex bouquet with spicy aromas of cloves, vanilla, green apple and prunes. It is often served with lemon.
- Bavarians love this beer and prefer it to be unfiltered with yeast sediment. If wheat beer matures in bottles with addition of a special type of yeast, the presence of yeast in the sediment is specified.
- For top fermentation, special yeast is used, which in the process of fermentation rise with bubbles of carbonic acid to the top of wort. The optimal temperature of fermentation is 15-25°C, which is close to usual room temperature.
